Mina Fahmi
Mina is a Product Manager at Meta working on deep learning-based neural interfaces for future computing platforms. His career has focused on technologies which feel like an extension of the self, including neurotechnology, augmented reality, and wearable robotics. He has explored novel AI interfaces through projects including an AI-powered journal, autonomous company concept, and multimodal wearable device. Prior to Meta, Mina worked at CTRL-labs (acquired by Meta in 2019) and studied engineering at MIT.
Yotam Mann
Yotam Mann is a musician and instrument maker. His career has been dedicated to discovering how new technologies can progress music. Since studying music and computer science at U.C. Berkeley’s Center for New Music and Audio Technologies, Yotam has worked with grammy award-winning artists, authored foundational software libraries for music production, and created instruments and interactive music projects enjoyed by millions.
Yotam was part of the inaugural class at NEW INC, adjunct professor at ITP NYU Tisch, and 2016 Creative Capital Grantee in Emerging Fields, and part of Betaworks’ 2020 AudioCamp.
Cherie Hu
Cherie Hu is the founder of Water & Music, a research network focused on the cutting edge of music and tech. She has been covering music and tech as a writer and editor for eight years, previously for publications including Billboard, Forbes, Pitchfork, and Variety. She has spoken as an expert commentator on CNBC and SiriusXM Volume; as a guest lecturer at institutions like Harvard University, New York University, Northeastern University, and Berklee College of Music; and as a panelist or keynoter at over 40 conferences around the world. She is excited at the opportunity to push the boundaries of creativity, and to help people better understand the world and their place within it.

Linus Lee
Linus is a Research Engineer at Notion prototyping new software interfaces for augmenting our collaborative work and creativity with AI. He has spent the last few years experimenting with AI-augmented tools for thinking, like a canvas for exploring the latent space of neural networks and writing tools where ideas connect themselves. Before Notion, Linus spent a year as an independent researcher, during which he was Betaworks's first Researcher in Residence.

John Borthwick has been a leader in the New York startup, technology business for over two decades. He is the Founder and CEO of betaworks, a New York-based startup platform that builds, accelerates & invests in early-stage consumer technology. Companies built by betaworks include Giphy, Dots, bitly, Tweetdeck, and Chartbeat. Investments & accelerated companies include Twitter, Tumblr, Kickstarter, Medium, Anchor, Gimlet and recently Hugging Face, RecRoom, Superplastic, and XMTP.
He serves on the boards of WNYC, New York Public Radio, Data & Society, and several DAOs. John holds an MBA from Wharton and a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University.
